Vetrics Medicines API — Privacy notice

What this API is
----------------
A machine-readable index of veterinary medicines authorised for use in Great Britain,
derived from the Veterinary Medicines Directorate Product Information Database
(Open Government Licence v3.0). It is reference information for software and AI agents.
It is not the official VMD database. It does not provide clinical advice.

What we collect when you call the public API
--------------------------------------------
For abuse control, rate limiting, and product analytics we may process:

- Request metadata (path/tool, status, latency, approximate time)
- Pseudonymous fingerprints derived from network/client signals (not raw profiles)
- Claimed client identity if you send X-Vetrics-Client
- MCP clientInfo if provided by your client
- Country / ASN from the CDN edge
- Rate-limit outcomes and cache hit/miss signals

We do not intend to store:

- Model prompts or chat transcripts
- Payment wallet credentials (when machine payment is enabled later, settlement
  identifiers are kept in a separate payment ledger)
- Unnecessary personal data

Clinic / internal traffic authenticated with a Vetrics clinic read token is
operational traffic for the Vetrics product and is governed by the main Vetrics
privacy policy and clinic agreements.

Retention
---------
Edge analytics may be retained only for the CDN provider's supported rolling
window and/or as daily aggregates for product monitoring. Raw IP addresses are
not shown in admin dashboards and are retained only briefly for abuse response
when needed.

Sharing
-------
Infrastructure providers (e.g. hosting and CDN) process requests as processors
to deliver the service. We do not sell request data.

Your choices
------------
- Do not send personal data in query strings or custom headers.
- Contact privacy@vetrics.co (or the contact on www.vetrics.co) for privacy requests.

Updates
-------
We may update this notice as the public API and any future paid access evolve.
